Team library
Three ADVLTL II tournament derivations, nine legal January samples, and three sun reconstructions with explicit evidence boundaries.
Three ADVLTL II winning teams, derived for play
The August 23 tournament file contains three imports built from winning ADVLTL II replays. All three preserve the observed lead, six species, and replay-exposed moves and items. The remaining fields use current legal conventions.
These are playable derivations. They are not the players’ hidden original pastes, and they do not increase the official sample count.
| Team | Lead | Practice lane | Import |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eeveeto W3 Kingler | Golbat | Choice Band pressure, Spikes, two Thunder Wave users, Kingler finish | PokePaste |
| Don W2 Cacturne + Kabutops | Cacturne | lead Spikes, two Salac routes, fast hazard race | PokePaste |
| Eeveeto W1 RestTalk Spikes | Hitmonchan | Rapid Spin, spinblocking, item removal, three RestTalk users | PokePaste |

Using the three ADVLTL II derivations
Eeveeto W3 Kingler
Golbat leads and identifies the first physical answer. Cacturne sets Spikes, Raichu and Banette spread paralysis, and Whiscash adds Toxic and Protect turns. Keep Whiscash healthy while the opposing Electric line is active, and keep one Thunder Wave user until the faster revenge options are mapped.
Kingler is the default closer. Bring it in after its checks are chipped or paralyzed, then choose between Substitute and Swords Dance according to whether the opponent can still force it out. The team has no Rapid Spin, so count Golbat and Kingler entries once opposing Spikes appear.
Don W2 Cacturne + Kabutops
Use lead Cacturne to get the useful Spikes layer, then decide whether Endure plus Destiny Bond is worth more than preserving another forced switch. Whiscash creates Substitute and Toxic sequences, Xatu steals an item, and Raichu supplies direct pressure. Victreebel’s Sunny Day is its own Solar Beam and Chlorophyll package. It does not activate Kabutops.
Preserve either Cacturne or Kabutops as the later Salac route. Spending both as early trades removes the team’s fastest finishes. This six has neither Rapid Spin nor a Ghost, so race the hazard exchange instead of trying to control every layer.
Eeveeto W1 RestTalk Spikes
Hitmonchan and Sableye own the hazard-control assignments. Cacturne sets Spikes, Sableye removes items and blocks Rapid Spin, Hitmonchan clears opposing layers, and Koffing spreads burn. Whiscash and Camerupt use RestTalk to extend the game.
Stagger Rest turns so Koffing, Whiscash, and Camerupt are not all asleep at once. Preserve Sableye while the opponent can still remove Spikes, and preserve Hitmonchan while opposing layers would cut off repeated wall entries. The usual finish comes from accumulated Spikes, lost items, and status rather than one required setup sweeper.
Nine legal structures, dated January
The current resource page lists nine sample teams. The library was updated on January 8, 2026, before Hypno and Manectric entered RU. None of the teams contains either Pokémon. All nine pass the current gen3ru validator after Manectric’s ban.
That makes them good teaching teams and poor evidence for July usage.
| Team | Lead | What the paste teaches |
|---|---|---|
| Double Poli Offense | Politoed | spikeless pressure, two distinct Water roles, priority, and mixed Speed control |
| Lead Stantler + Golbat | Stantler | immediate physical pressure, Choice Band resistances, and fast Raichu/Rapidash support |
| Mixed Metang Bulky Offense | Hitmonchan | four-attacks lead pressure, defensive Swords Dance Victreebel, and mixed Metang coverage |
| Kabutops + Banette Offense | Pikachu | paralysis, two setup attackers, Banette disruption, and Rapidash cleanup |
| Cacturne Spikes Offense | Cacturne | an aggressive Spiker, two pinch-berry attackers, and fast physical cleanup |
| Calm Mind Xatu + Persian Spikes | Politoed | Pineco hazard control, Salac Xatu, and two Choice Band attackers |
| Choice Band Hitmonchan Paraspam | Hitmonchan | early Fighting pressure, bulky pivots, several paralysis sources, and Raichu coverage |
| Octillery Paraspam | Octillery | slow lead status, Substitute Aggron, Belly Drum Poliwrath, and defensive Xatu |
| Encore Raichu Stall | Roselia | Spikes, Spin, a Ghost, Heal Bell, recovery, priority, Wish, and Encore |

Keep the order
Slot one is already the intended lead. Reordering for aesthetics changes the team.
The site team page prints every set from a pinned local copy and links to the original Poképaste. Use the local copy for auditing and the source link for attribution.
Pick by lesson
Choose Double Poli or the Stantler team to learn spikeless offense. Choose Cacturne or Pineco to learn the hazard exchange. Choose either paralysis sample to practice converting speed control into a slower win condition. Choose the stall sample to learn how many separate pieces a long-game structure must preserve.
Do not start by choosing the team with the most favorite Pokémon. Choose the interaction you want to practice.
Make one change at a time
After one game, write down:
- which opposing set had no repeatable answer;
- whether the lead created a playable sequence;
- which slot failed its assigned job;
- whether the planned endgame ever became available.
Change one set or slot, validate the new paste, and play the same matchup again if possible. Replacing three pieces at once removes the evidence needed to tell which fix worked.
Adding Hypno
Hypno’s absence is a date marker, not a warning against using it. A current custom team may use Hypno, but the replacement must preserve the removed slot’s jobs. Wish and special bulk do not automatically replace Speed, a Ground immunity, Spikes, Rapid Spin, or a physical resistance.
The May ADVPL team dump shows several Hypno structures from before the ban. Use those as sourced experiments, then remove Manectric and recheck the whole support web rather than swapping one Electric-type. See the May teams.
Three field sun reconstructions
The team page also carries three current sun drafts. They sit outside the nine-team sample library.
| Draft | Roster source | Set source |
|---|---|---|
| Triple-Setter Sun Balance | complete August 1 local replay protocol | exposed moves plus current conventions |
| Fast Redundant Sun | complete July 31 local replay protocol | exposed moves plus current conventions |
| Partial Sun Spikes | complete July 4 public replay protocol | exposed moves plus current conventions |
The protocols expose rosters and selected set details, short of full importable pastes. The reconstructions keep the observed roster and lead, print every exposed detail in a separate evidence block, and identify what was filled. All three pass the exact current gen3ru validator. The published sample count remains nine.
